Imago Dei = the Image of God

So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

(Genesis 1:27)

In the very first pages of the Bible, we’re told that God created humankind in His image and likeness. We are made to be mirrors, reflecting God’s heart, character, agenda, and purposes. While sin and brokenness have warped the image of God in every person, each and every person on the planet still carries sacred worth and is loved by God.

The image of God in each of us is restored as we learn to reflect the heart of Jesus, which is only possible when we reach out toward Him in faith.

We are on a journey of reflecting the life of Jesus by recognizing and restoring the image of God in every person.
